Class Description:

A Journey to English Proficiency with Oxford's "Let's Go" Curriculum- Unlocking Your Child's Linguistic Potential!

Are you seeking a comprehensive and results-driven English language program that will equip your child with the skills and confidence to thrive in an increasingly interconnected world? I'm happy to offer this ongoing class designed to provide your child with a transformative language learning experience using the acclaimed Oxford Let's Go curriculum.

This course follows and uses two great series by the famous Oxford University Press; Oxford Phonics World and Let's Go Let's Begin. Oxford claims millions of children have learned to read and speak English with their Let's Go series, and I believe it! In my years of teaching English (both online and in schools) I've tried all the big name English language teaching materials and Oxford materials are by far the best, the most inspiring, engaging, and easiest for children to master. All Oxford materials are well organized and inter-related and full of lively activities, fun videos and songs, and opportunities to practice what we're studying. In my experience using these two Oxford series (Let's Go and Phonics World) together during each lesson has proven to be a successful methodology for students to learn to speak and read English quickly and joyfully. All of the students I've used this curriculum with one-on-one have gone from not knowing the alphabet to being able to read on their own within four months. We will learn dozens of sight words and many phrases from the Let's Go books but the Phonics World books ensure that children really learn how to read and spell, not just memorize by rote.

Each lesson will include at least one short musical video. Students will do the highly engaging activities within their books and also activities on screen. The onscreen activities include Wordwall and Oxford games. We will also sing songs and play games like Simon Says. Each lesson is at the students' pace, so the pace of each lesson will vary, which ensures that students are never stressed and that they retain the information we've studied, so learning is painless and fun!

My teaching style is patient, kind, and goofy. I prioritize student talk time and laughter. I'm always delighted by the jokes my students make in class. It's really difficult to make a joke across a language barrier, but they're brilliant at it! My lessons are interactive, clear, and easy to follow, so students are never confused and stay highly engaged. Parents are welcome in my classes. Young learners need a lot of support and together we can create the supportive, nurturing environment they learn best in. It's a wonderful moment when a child starts to read on their own and I look forward to celebrating it with you!
